This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid, completely dry, and without cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly thicker than the other. Consistent width with reserves on both ends. The underside is almost completely flat. The color of the bark is orange.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
