Natural mammoth ivory segment for sale
This is an immaculate piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid, completely dry, and without cracks. One cross-cut section is slightly wider than the other. Consistent thickness with reserves on both ends. The color of the outer layer of bark is brown. The color of the ivory is beige-yellow.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
