This is a semicircular piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). Despite the few cracks, this piece offers plenty of good-quality ivory material to work with. The underside is almost completely flat. Consistent thickness and width with reserves on both ends. The color of the bark is brown.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

This piece is presented in its natural condition – it is not stabilized and /or injected with resin. Please take note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilized and/or restored unless explicitly stated.
