This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid and completely dry despite the small cracks. One cross-cut section is thicker and wider than the other. The underside is almost completely flat. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The color of the ivory is beige.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
