This is a good-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth ivory (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite the cracks. One cross-cut section is thicker and narrower than the other. Consistent width and thickness with reserves on both ends. The underside is almost flat. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The color of the outer layer of bark is brown.

Geological epoch: Pleistocene.

Age: Over 10,000 years.

Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
